Membership

Become a LEADS Member:

Membership is £10 pa, reducing to £5 if you join during the last six months of the year. Membership allows you to take part in a LEADS training session and our regular fun evenings and shows. Training sessions take place on a Wednesday, the first session is for Intermediate handlers/dogs, the second session is for Beginner handlers/dogs and the third session is for Experienced dogs/handlers - cost £5 per session.

We welcome new members, and for safety reasons, all dogs need to have some familiarity with each piece of equipment. If you have already done basic agility training, please let us know some details and we will assess your abilities and suggest the most suitable class for you. The first “taster” session at LEADS is free, but we would need you to become a member before attending any further sessions.

At the moment we do not have any plans to run a beginners course, but are able to offer one to one training. If you have not done any agility training with your dog, a couple of our trainers offer one to one training for beginners to get you to the point where you are familiar with all the pieces of equipment and have some idea what you are doing! When the trainer feels you are ready (estimated to be six sessions and subject to final assessment), you will be able to join a LEADS session to see how you get on.

The one to one training costs approx £15 per hour (or £8 per half hour). The one to one sessions get you off to a flying start, and although more expensive to start with, are definitely worth it in the long run.
